‘100 NOT OUT’ Custom Book Launch!
Congratulations to our client Hiddlestone Electrics on a phenomenal achievement reaching their century milestone this year!
We first met Natalie and Kay Hiddlestone and the Hiddlestone Electrics crew back in 2016 for the filming of their Family Business Australia Hall of Fame Induction video, which was presented to a capacity audience of their WA family business peers at a Gala Event in November of that year.
During that first meeting our discussion sowed the seeds to embark on producing a Commemorative Book to mark the company’s 100-years of service to Subiaco in 2020.
We hope you thoroughly enjoy 100 Not Out (available as a limited edition copy and online at Issuu here). We trust that it will serve Hiddlestone Electrics very well in the months and years ahead, with its importance to the Subiaco and WA communities duly recognized.
From the outset, 100 Not Out has been a passionate ambition of Nat. Underlined by a genuine community spirit and her family values, this book would not have come to fruition without Nat’s determination to rightfully celebrate Hiddlestone’s achievements and the memory of Vern, her father and the company’s driving force for 60 years. Vern’s spirit shines through all the pages of the book – what an incredible man who we would have loved to have the honour to meet. We know he would be incredibly proud of what Nat has achieved with 100 Not Out, and is continuing to achieve with the company as its next generation leader.
For Matt Cowan as the project manager of the book – co-ordinating, compiling and overseeing the details of the content of the book, including its design and photography – was a tremendous process of discovery about this unique, iconic and enduring family business, which the video was a preview to.
Our talented team were all on board with Nat’s original vision from the word ‘go’ – which was absolutely key to the successful delivery of this project.
Ross Addison perfectly captured with his words the personality, character, good humour and authentic history of the Hiddlestone family company, which was no mean feat. Ross’s passionate research and storytelling is a triumph.
Josh Wells’ photography of today’s Hiddlestone family and company team – and the iconic Hiddlestone memorabilia shelf – is true and outstanding, complementing all the historical photos collated for the book.
Jess Griffiths was responsible for the beautiful and considerate design of this custom coffee table book.
We’d also like to express our appreciation to Kay, Beryl Goodfield and Narelle and everyone else who contributed to and supported the book.
